Microsoft has also released a web clipper extension for several browsers to let users save webpages to OneNote, and also announced a new cloud API to let third-party developers integrate OneNote in their own apps. Users of OneNote will get free 7GB storage on OneDrive, and they can use that storage to sync their notes on OneNote on other platforms like iOS, Android and web. OneNote has an interface similar to other Microsoft Office apps, with a variety of options to format and style text in notes, make lists, etc. The release marks an important change in terms of strategy for Microsoft - OneNote is now free across all desktop and mobile platforms. Microsoft today released OneNote, its note-taking app, on the Mac App Store for free, as expected.
